Shooting at Virginia Beach oceanfront motel






Virginia Beach police responded to a shooting this morning at the Beach Carousel Motel, located at 1300 Pacific Avenue.

On Wednesday morning at 3:48 a.m., police, fire, and EMS personnel responded after a man had reportedly been shot at the motel.

Virginia Beach police found a male victim on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say the victim had left his motel room and was on his way to a convenience store. He had an altercation with an unknown suspect. There were witnesses who heard several gunshots and called 911.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in critical, but stable, condition.
